FTP
Then we can login with anonymous login
then we can type ls to list the files and we can see there is one file called note

Download the file using get command

Then when we cat the file we got this

Nothing seems pretty interesting except we know there is two username which is elly and john
Smb
We can see there is port 139 open which is port for smb, lets see what we have

As we can see there is 2 folder that might be can extracted
We first go to the tmp folder and see that inside

use get command to download the file
Same goes to kathy folder
We got this for the ls file

For Kathy, we get some wordpress backups file and a todo-list.txt

Nothing seem very interesting, so we move on to the port 12380 that we discovered earlier
More Discovery

Nothing seem pretty interesting here, then I use nikto to enumerate the webpage
We can see there are few interesting URL that we can visit.
/admin112233/, /blogblog/from robots.txt and /phpmyadmin/
I tried a few times to navigate to those page but never success, so I change from http to https

It works ! but opps, okay next page then.

Got a wordpress file which called Initech where we can recall from the to-do-list.txt from kathy folder
Wpscan
Then I use wpscan to scan the wordpress file
I found that advanced-video-embed-embed-videos-or-playlists is vulnerable that after searching google we can find it here. We download the exploit and change the URL of the wordpress.
After running it found out that there is a error because of ssl
Imported this 2 lines of code and it works fine

If we navigate to /wp-content/uploads, we can find a picture uploaded there
Downloaded the picture and cat the picture we can see a lot of text inside but the most interesting part is the MySQL database username and password

We then login into the mySQL database

Then we can type

We got the credentials and if we want we can crack the md5 but since we have root, we can actually upload a shell to the server by

Then we can navigate back to the /wp-content/uploads and see there will be a shell waiting

We click the shell.php and at the end of the URL add ?cmd=id

Reverse Shell
We can now set up a listener at our machine
Our machine
Target Machine, at the end of the URL put the python reverse shell code

We then got a shell
Then we need to use a python code to get a proper shell
Privilege Escalation
I use linpeas.sh to enumerate what is vulnerable inside this user.
Found out this

We can see there are 2 password
I can see a lot things coming up with the username peter
so let us ssh to user peter

We can see there is a big menu that let us choose into it, simply quit the menu and type sudo -l
and we can see that we can execute anything we want to get root
type sudo su

Navigate to /root to get the flag.

Congratulation!
